Assisting in the launch of The Bread and Roses Artist Studios 

The studios are situated on the top floor of the Bread and Roses, a listed and characteristic public-house located off Clapham High street in South London. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development of a new creative venture.

The studio is looking for two motivated interns. Both interns will work 2 days a week from the studio for the months of August and September.

One intern will undertake marketing activities. This will include developing a web presence for the studio, collating and designing online and offline marketing materials, data collection and database management.

The second intern will undertake the research, organisation and delivery of studio events. This will include internally liaising with the studio artists to develop an events programme, networking with the local community, creative organisations and researching the history of the Bread and Roses Co.

Both interns will gain practical experience of working within an arts organisation, with the opportunity to develop transferable skills whilst working in a stimulating and creative environment. In return for the two days work the interns will be given a free open-plan studio space to continue with their own practice out of the internship hours. The studios are heated with 24- hour access and offer a friendly and collaborative environment in which to work.

Both candidates should have:

    * Degree in a Visual Art/ History of Art/ Arts Management

    * Commitment and enthusiasm

    * Interest in social media and web- design

    * Willingness to undertake a wide range of duties

    * Strong social and administrative skills

    * Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
